Plant: Camellia japonica ‘Latifolia Variegated’

I saw these Camellia japonica ‘Latifolia Variegated’ at the Huntington Library in early February.  They are featured with soft rose red blotched white flowers.

Words of the Day

The 20th name of God that I am going to learn is Maon, Machseh, Magen, Magen, Metsuda, Migdal-Oz. Throughout the Bible, God is seen as One who cares for, watches over and comforts His people as well as keeps His people safe in times of trouble and need. He is Maon (our Dwelling Place), Machseh (our Refuge), Magen (our Shield), Metsuda (Fortress), and Migdal-Oz (Strong-tower). These names for God capture the essence of the help available to us.
祂是 Maon(我們的居所)、Machseh(我們的避難所)、Magen(我們的盾牌)、Metsuda(山寨)和 Migdal-Oz(高臺)。

Psalm 91:1-2

Whoever lives under the shelter of Elyon
will remain in the shadow of Shadday.
I will say to Yahweh,
“You are my Machseh and my Metsuda,
my Elohim in whom I trust.”
